PDF prompts install of FP2003

T

Targa

I recently installed FP2003 and now when I try to open a PDF - from a
browser and just clicking the file, I get several windows trying to install
Frontpage.

I can cancel out of them and the PFD will eventually open but sure is
annoying.

Anyone know why or how to fix?

Thanks!

find a PDF somewhere on your system and right click/ properties/ change the
"opens with" selection to acrobat reader.

could be something else too, come back if it doesn't work. you may want to
look in FrontPage; tools/ options/ configure editors and look for a
reference to PDF there.

I was having this problem ever since I downloaded Acrobat 6 Reader. Everytime I tried to open a
pdf I would get "windows installer installing frontpage". There's lots of posts on the Adobe boards
about bugs in Acrobat 6. I ended up having to uninstall 6, delete temp files and redownload Acrobat
5. It was a real pain.
