Pdf files doesn't open

when I try to open a pdf document on the internet,
Internet explorer opens a screen with a cross on the
upper right corner. The pdf file doesn't open. I have
downloaded the latest version of IE and SP1, but it is
still not working. What do I need to do to open online
pdf files?

When you try open an Adobe PDF file in a Web browser, a blank screen
appears.

The PDF file is hosted on a Web Server that uses Netegrity SiteMinder for
security.
