pdf file but it wont read in english how can i read it

I have recieved a pdf file that when I try to open it i cant get it to read
in english. What can I do to fix this problem??

So, it opens in what application?

I see basically two possibilities:

1) Someone sent you a PDF that is in a foreign language, in which case, it's
no different than checking out a book from the library that happens to be
in french/spanish/japanese. Ask the person who sent it to you to send you
one that is in English.

2) Its opening in an application that doesn't actually read PDF files, so
you're getting a translation of the binary file format. In which case, save
it to the hard drive, right click on the file and select properties and re-associate
it with whatever application you'd normally read PDFs in.

I've also seen weird font issues with pdf's, like it's using something that
literally looks like Greek. Your pdf reader may let you copy and paste the
text into Word, then select it all and change the font to times new roman or
something.

If it is in a different language than English, then you may need to
install the appropriate font pack (Reader 9 add-ons, near bottom):
