PDF failure

P

Pete Beall

I'm using FP2002 and Acrobat 5.0.5. I created a new web, local only, so far,
and wanted to link to a PDF page. When I click on the link IE doesn't open
Adobe Reader, it just says "done", and shows the correct address; now it
gets strange:

When I copy the PDF to another location and type the address in IE, it
works. If I type in the address in IE of the PDF within the web structure,
it doesn't.

When I open the PDF from within the new web location with Windows Explorer,
again fine.

I created several PDFs and tested them and the problem isn't specific to one
file.

Anyone help?

See support pages on www.adobe.com. THe root cause of this is how
Internet Explorer and Adobe are interacting when you try to open a PDF
link (persumably you have done this right) in IE.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
