I have installed the PDF converter on my machine. But I DON'T want the PDF
converter on my menu bar in Outlook. I delete it every time I open Outlook
(delete, not just uncheck it), and everytime I restart Outlook it's there
again. Other than uninstalling the converter, does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Scansoft has a program that converts Adobe pdf files to Word files. It was
offered for testing during the Office beta and I liked it so much I bought
it after the product was released. I love having it for Word, but I don't
want to see it in Outlook. I've also asked Scansoft but have not yet
received an answer so I thought I'd check here.

I found it really annoying too, it wouldn't remember where you moved
it or that you had turned it off. Here is how to prevent the Add-in
from loading in Outlook all together.

1) Open Microsoft Outlook and click "Tools > Options".
2) Select the "Other" tab and click the "Advanced Options..." button.
3) Click the "COM Add-ins..." button.
4) Remove the check mark next to "ScanSoft PDF Converter Outlook
Addin" and click "OK".
5) Click "OK" on the "Advanced Options" and "Options" dialogs to save
the changes and return to Outlook.
6) Close Outlook and reopen it to ensure the PDF Converter Add-in has
been removed.
