I got an email from a user using outlook 2000 with pdf file as an attachment.
I'm using outlook 2003 and don't see the attachment.
But when i forward the email to anybody i see the attachment is there.

Any reason why this is happening?

Are you using Google Desktop Seach?

nope don't have that installed
i tested with two emails from the same person.
The email that i got the pdf attachment is in plain text format and when the
user sents it in html format i don't see the attachment until i tried to
forward his email.
But the attachment is there in the user's sent items.

You sure they sent it using HTML formatting? If they sent it using RTF
(rich-text format) then the attachments will be shown within the body of
the e-mail, not via the paperclip icon and attachment listing. Then you
forward their RTF e-mail but use HTML which does NOT show the attachment
inline with the body and uses the separate listing.

Just because an e-mail has fonts, bolding, and other formatting doesn't
mean it is an HTML-formatted e-mail. It might be an RTF e-mail.
