PDF 4 Toolbar will not go away

I've used Excel and Adobe Acrobat both for a long time. I'm now up to Adobe
6, and that add-in shows up fine. But I'm also getting a PDF 4 toolbar and
I can't seem to get rid of it. I can go into customize or view toolbars and
uncheck it. As soon as I open the program again, it's back. I've even
deleted from the list of toolbars and it comes back. I've removed
everything from the Excel start directory, I've renamed the default template
and let it rebuild. Nothing I do seems to permanently get rid of this
toolbar. HELP!

Thanks.
Sandy.

Is PDF toolbar add-in still listed under Tools, Add-ins? Uncheck it is so.

There is more than one XLSTART folder so check all of them. (There is one
under the Microsoft Office folder and another under Documents and Settings.)

I did a search for PDFWriter.xla and moved them out of that folder. I think
it was an XLSTART folder. Anyway, after I did that the old toolbar
disappeared. I had tried renaming the file, but it still kept loading.

Thank you both. I found the stubborn file under Program Files, Microsoft
Office, etc. when I had only been looking under Documents and
Settings. --Sandy
