PDC operations master problem

Hi!;

I'm facing a Windows 2000 active directory problem. I have 2 domain
controllers in same domain at this moment. Due to my PDC got some problem, so
I force to stop my PDC server and temporary changed the second domain
controller PDC operations master as a PDC operations master. The problem now
is my PDC up already, when I want to change back the original PDC operations
master, the system doesn't allow me to change the job. I try to replicate the
server from Active Directory Sites and Services, it came out this message

"The following error occurred during the attempt to synchronize the domain
controllers:
The naming context is in the process of being removed or is not replicated
from the specified server"

So now I have 2 different PDC in the same domain. So how do I resolve the
problem, anyone who got idea?

Thanks & Regards

One of them (probably the original) needs to be DCPromo'd
to non-DC.

It can them be DC-promo'd back as a DC.

You might believe it will work without doing
this but you domain will likely be flaky for ever
after. It is not catastrophic (immediately) so
it is tempting not to follow this advice.

It is not however that hard to DCPromo cycle one
of them to make sure.
