PCTEL Platinum V.90 Modem

When I started with a new ISP every time I got a phone call it would
disconnect me from my ISP and the phone would ring. Now everyone asks me
where I've been as when they call the phone just keeps ringing and no one
answerers. My ISP Support tells me the modem gets used to the tone and
doesn't bother with it. Does anyone know how to get the modem to recognize
the call and let me know there is an incoming call?

there are some third party software that you can use to do that.
When you're using your modem it's supposed your phone should be busy. Unless
it's a ADSL connection which you can navigate on internet and answer your
phone at the same time.

look for it at a search engine like google or altavista.
