PCI Simple Communications Controller

R

Ryan Presbrey

In the "Add Hardware" wizard for WIndows XP Professional,
it states that my PCI Simple Communications Controller
device is not working properly because its device driver
is not loaded. I click on it to tell it to search for a
driver to install, but everytime I do it says that setup
was not complete because the driver is not digitally
signed by Windows XP...What do I do???
PLEASE HELP!!!!

Thank you,
Ryan Presbyre

Greetings --

"PCI simple communications controller" is usually the term the OS
applies to an unidentified modem. Have you downloaded and installed
the WinXP-specific modem drivers from the modem manufacturer's web
site?

Somtimes these things are rectified by re-installing the motherboard chipset
driver(s)
