PCI Express card

Is it very likely that Battlefield 1942 will play better with a PCI
Express card than with an AGP 8x?

The pci express wouldn't have any advantage over an agp card. With that
old of a game, any decent card should work fine. Granted, I don't claim
to be a professional at this, but it won't matter if you get pci express
or agp, it just depends on what your motherboard supports. I'd recommend
grabbing a pci express card, however, only for the fact that it will
probably be easier to upgrade later on down the road, agp cards seem to
be dying out.

Minimum spec on that game is 32MB video card. I don't see anything
dramatic happening with a PCIe.

More than you ever wanted to know about the game here:

Go with a decent PCI-e IMO. If minimum for the game is 32mb then thats
settings on low. A decent PCI-e would be able to get the most from it. Many
PCI-e cards are in the same price range as AGP so I would suggest PCI-e so
you'll get the most of the game and also be able to handle Battlefield 2 or
other current/near future games on the market
