PCI Card Recognizes USB2.0 but NOT USB1.1 Devices in XP!?

Put in this situation i would look for new XP drivers for
the card (Your manufacturers site or www.driverguide.com)
is reccomended), apart from this i cant see any other
problems that may occur.

Thanks for the tip. I was already using the latest drivers from
Adaptec. I decided to uninstall them and try out Microsoft's USB 2.0 XP
drivers (it shows up as "NEC PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller (B1)"
in Device Manager). That cured my problem! The card now seems to be
working just fine.

Just to experiment a little I switched back to Adaptec's drivers and the
problem reappeared. So it looks like Microsoft's drivers work better
for me than Adaptec's drivers for their own card. Go figure.
