pc32.exe What is it?

What is pc32.exe? It is in my startup list on XP home. It is located in
the windows system32 folder. A right click on properties
gives no info on where this file is from. It also gives the name "sustem
restore control" in details. Surely Microsoft can spell.

Is this a trojan of some sort?

Use your scanner on it (no, not the flatbed).
Scan it with an AV, AT, Adware or Spyware scanner.
...you could even use an online file scanning service or
a suspicious file submission service.

I wouldn't assume that anyone can spell these days, unfortunately.

Windows for Workgroups 3.11 had an error box which appeared
stating Opps (by which I assume they meant Oops) followed by
the errors details.

....or maybe opps and sustem are accepted alternate spellings.

I installed a program called Clean Space 8. I uninstalled it
after I found out I didn't need it. I use regclean to delete registry
entries after an uninstall. This particular program keeps showing up
in the registry unless I disable pc32.exe in the startup group.
I sure would like to get rid of this entry. Probably doesn't hurt any
anything but, it sure bothers me.
Thanks for your help.
