PC won't boot after SP4 patch !!

fresh install of W2k, then i install the sp4. after it's done, it does the restart, but it keeps restarting, at the w2k splash screen. can't get to the login prompt

tried safe mode, last known good. to no avail.
 
Boot the PC in safe mode, do an uninstall of SP4 if the option is available
in add/remove programs.

Other than that, you may have a device driver conflict with SP4. Can you
give specifics on your hardware setup?
