A few possibilities:

Bad power supply

4-pin power connector from power supply not hooked up to motherboard.

Your floppy drive cable is reversed on one end.

Your RAM is bad

Considering that you can't open the CD door, I'm leaning toward bad power
supply. Even if every other component of your PC was defective, the CD door
only needs good power to open. If you've confirmed that the power supply is
properly connected to the CD drive and the CD door won't open, I would be at
least 90% certain that your power supply is bad . . .especially as the other
symptoms could point to a bad power supply as well. -Dave

beeps, nothing on the monitor

Try using a different video card.

Or, as someone else suggested, you can try replacing the power supply

Ok how do I check if the PSU is bad?

Replace it is the short answer. You could always find a multimeter
somewhere (borrow one?) to check the various DC voltages. But you'd need to
keep in mind that a power supply can look good when checked with a
multimeter and still be BAD. Still, considering the symptoms you are
seeing, this might be one of the few cases where checking the voltages on
the power supply would be interesting and useful. But it's good to have a
spare power supply on hand anyway. So if you don't have access to a
multimeter, spend a little money on a replacement power supply and try
hat. -Dave

You can get a PSU tester for around $10, very small and a good item t
have; CompUSA has them

Here are some other things to check.

1. Make sure your 12V P4 connector is plugged in (it is near the rea
USB ports)

2. Check your CPU heatsink and ensure it is properly seated on PSU an
not hung up on the socket die

3. If you have an IDE hard drive available, try booting with i
instead of the SATA (just to troubleshoot)

4. Unplug the mouse and keyboard and try to power up

5. Make sure the DIMM is in the first slot
