PC Switches itself off

Dear All,

I have a PC that intermittently switches itself off. The PC is as follows:

Windows XP
AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1400
512MB DDR 2100
20GB Maxtor HD
Abit KD7 motherboard
The case has 5 fans for cooling
Fax Modem plus software

Does anyone have any idea why it would be doing this apart from the CPU
overheating (which is not the case).

I've checked the PSU and its fine. It actually turns itself off.

have you checked the bios settings under the power management features and
if that dont work try resetting the bios
