PC start up LOOPS !

Here's what happens.

1. Turn on laptop
2. hp invent screen appears (normal, happens usually)
3. the windows xp picture appears with the blue bars moving across underneath)
4. The blue bars stop moving
5. Blue screen appears saying that there's an error
6. laptop turns off, then restarts

The process repeats from number 2 to 6 in an endless loop.
The laptop running out of battery whilst turning on from a hibernate may
have caused this problem.

What do I do?

What does the blue screen error message say?

--How to disable automatic restart--

When you switch on your laptop, keep hitting F8 till you get to a menu.

If there is only one option in that menu, hit F8 again.

In this menu select 'disable automatic restart on system failure', Enter,
Enter and you should be able to view the full blue screen error.

Post the message here and we will be able to help you better.
