PC shutting down

I am having a problem with windows shutting down on its own I can be doing
anything then a little dialog box comes up saying "system is shutting down
save any unsaved work or it will be lost" maybe not exactly what it says but
it begins a coutdow from 60 seconds I guess to give me time to save anything
I have open then finishes the countdown and shuts down. ANYONE HAVE ANY
IDEAS I AM RUNNING XP PRO
