Hello:

Have a Windows XP SP3 PC which automatically restarts when the screensaver
activates after 10 minutes. If the PC is locked manually, the PC doesn't
restart. Details include:

1) Win XP Professional SP3
2) Manufactured by Lenovo
3) 2660 MHz Processor
4) BIOS: Lenovo 2RKT44AUS 4/29/08
5) Total Physical Memory 2,048 MB
6) Available Physical Memory 1.48 GB
7) Available Virtual Memory 2 GB
8) Available Virtual Memory 1.96 GB
9) Page File Space 2.57 GB
10) PC is joined to a domain
11) PC is brand new

TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS

1) I unchecked "Automatically restart" option in startup and recovery.
After screensaver activates, now receive blue screen with
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA message "Problem caused by file: win32k.sys"

2) Attempted to recreate issue in SAFE MODE. Problem did not replicate

Any suggestions to resolve this annoying issue would be tremendously
appreciated

Regards,

Bob

Have you updated your graphics drivers?

The PC had an external video card installed specifically for the AUTOCAD, and
installed the driver that came with the card. I will update the driver and
let you know. Many thanks,
