PC rebooting

Hi,
Hope I'm in the right forum.
I've a prob with a new build. I've bought a base unit from a local shop
witha Soltek SL NV 400 motherboard + XP 2600 Athlon, 512 333 and aDDR DVD
burner. All new components. I've added 2 hard drives ( Maxtors), Nvidia
Geforce graphic, Win Tv and a Lan card and a DVD Rom from my old PC.
The unit works for a while locks up and then won't reboot at all. The PC
just keep going on and off and you have to turn it off at the mains.
I've had it back to the shop and rebuilt 3 times with no progress.
when I bought it it was clocked as a 1250 Athlon but it was rock steady. I
returned to the shop who clocked it as it should be and now the system is
unstable.
Any ideas to the fault.

Could be anything. First thing to check is RAM. Run:
http://memtest86.com to test.
Look for overheating CPU and power supply. Replace untill fixed: RAM,
motherboard, power supply, CPU, and video card.

Good luck.

Used to be an occasional problem with VIA MB's for AMD. Most of the time it
was a network card or modem that made them go buggy. The way to
troubleshoot it would be to strip the system bare. One at a time put in the
PCI cards and see if any instability develops. The last card installed
could be the issue. My bet is the network card. If you try this let me
know your findings.
