PC PSU specifications

I have lots of terms for the various flavours of PSU these days, but nothing
that properly ties a specification down. And I have what seems to be an
unusual requirement...

It's to power a Compaq (W6000) dual Xeon board, circa 1996, and though the
PSU has the 24-pin main connector the secondary connector is a 6-pin affair.
I've seen some PSUs with a 6-pin connector, but these have carried two rails
plus 0V, whereas this one is just 3 pins of 12V and 3 of 0V.

So, would anyone care to guess what standard(s), if any, this PSU might be
built to conform with? It's a 460W PSU, incidentally.

The 6 pin 12 volt plug is for Pentium 4.

You might be correct, can't remember for sure if the P4 plug is 4 pins or 6 pins. I will have to look the next time I have a case panel off.
