My first guess is alwaus the power supply. Sniff around the fan grill next
to the power cord. Does it smell like burned plastic?

As to 'burning smell,' it's more likely 'plastic' burning smell, but
still a shock, then my nose is not really functionable at this moment.
There are NO light nor noise upon trying to turn on. First, I can not
turn on the PC at all, after I pushed a button at the front panel to
shut-down
the PC in a hurry upon having heard a terrible noise coming from bottom
part of front panel of the PC.
The PC is about 5 years old, but until this happened, the PC was
surprisingly running good.
