it just became quite just then but I don't know for how long
Please help it gets annoying and makes me feel like my computers going to

this sounds like a fan is on its way out, it could be powersupply or cpu
fan, if you got a fan on your chipset or video card, it could also be
one of them.

The only way to find out is to take the top off and stop each fan with
your hand for a split second, that is not possible with the power supply.

it could very well be a cooling fan, possibly the one on the cpu...
you will need to open the case and find out...
then be sure to replace the fan, if it slows down your machine could
overheat...
it's possible the cpu could burn out!

"... only comes certain times..."

Is this random after the computer has been powered up for a long time?
Is it when you power up the computer but then it fades out or goes away
after a few minutes? Is it only when your CD/DVD-ROM drive is spinning
a disc? Is it only when the hard drive LED on the front of the case is
flashing?

Hold a plastic drinking straw or other similar non-conductive material
inserted in the case power supply grill for an inch or so then power on the
system. If no noise, remove it and see if the noise comes on. This will
confirm or eliminate the power supply fan.
