Pc locks up?????

I am running Windows XP Pro on a Albrtron KX18d mobo Amd
2500 Barton,SB Audigy, Maxtor HD 80 gig 7200 8 meg, 52x LG
cd-rom,52x24x52 cdrw and a Nvidia 5900, video card all
with the lastest drivers including chipset drivers. It is
a 350 watt power supply.

I built this 5 months ago and it has been running great
but recently with the last 4-5 days it has been locking
up.I checked the event viewer and couple times it gave me
a local disk message saying the hard drive was going bad.
But now that message is gone gone and the whole time I
have been getting an application pop up message say this=

Explanation
The program could not load a driver because the program
user doesn't have sufficient privileges to access the
driver or because the drive is missing or corrupt.


User Action
To correct this problem:

Ensure that the program user has sufficient privileges to
access the directory in which the driver is installed.
Reinstall the program to restore the driver to the correct
location.
If these solutions do not work, contact Product Support
Services.

I have since reformatted and reinstaleed everything and it
still does it and I still get the message above. I think
it is the hardrive, which has been making some noise when
it never did before. I am I wrong?????? Or is it something
else. Thank you

Sounds like all the syptoms ofa bad drive doesnt it?
First you sot messages saying there were disk errors, then you got a message
saying there was a hard (ie not fixable) disk error.
