PC freezing only when internet is connected

I started having this problem yesterday. After a few
minutes of using the computer it freezes, programs that
are open still fresh (i.e. task manager,) but I connot
move the mouse or use the keyboard to prompt task manager
or any other program. I am able to use the the computer in
safe mode and safe mode with networking and I am also able
to boot the computer up normally as long as there is no
internet connection. I reformatted the hard drive and
reinstalled Windows XP Pro, reinstalled all the drivers,
and updated them but that didnt seem to help. I am using a
Linksys Wireless G adapter on this particular computer and
have another computer set up directly to the router. The
computer that is directly connected to the router doesnt
have any problems and they are both brand new computers.
 
try switching how the computers connect. if the problem
is carried with the wireless card, then it is the card
and you should go get your money back. if not, then it
is something you need to take up with the pc manufacturer.
