Hi Patti -

The stop error message is that the system has recovered from a serious
error. It then goes on to note that it was caused by a device driver but
doesn't say which driver.

Appreciate your quick response and help

Going by the error code, 000000fe, seems it may be related to USB drivers. Do
a Google search or search the Gateway support site for references to
0x000000fe or 0xfe

Hi Patti -

I updated the drivers for my Locitech MX 700 wireless mouse, NVIDA GeForce
4400 video card and replaced the Netgear USB to Ethernet Adapter wirh a new
ethernet card. Haven't experienced a systems crash since.

Thanks for putting me on the right tradk. Really appreciate it.

Hi Patti -
Been out of town so am behind on almost everything. But, to catch up -
I downloaded and installed new video drivers for my NVIDA graphics card and
for my Logitech wireless mouse. then I took out the USB to Ethernet adapter
I had been using to connect to my router, replacing it with a 10/100/1000
ethernet card.

Haven't had one of these crashes yet. You were right on about it being a
USB problem. I think it was the D-Link USB to Ethernet adapter.

Thanks again.

No problem, I definitely know what it's like to be behind on almost
everything. Thanks for taking the time to keep me apprised of the situation
:)
