PC automatically boots up

Help! My pc just boots up when nobody has been near it, its freaky, it is
happening roughly 3 times per week, there does not appear to be a set time.
Anyone got an answer for this.
I am using Win XP pro. and broadband. I have firewall and anti virus. I have
also run spybot and a couple of other virus checkers.

thanks

Did you do a normal shut down? Yes? Then look in your bios for "wake on LAN"
and "wake on ring" (modem).

If you just went into standby or hibernation it could be a jiggle of the
mouse by your cat, or a paw on the keyboard (if you have either set to
perform wakeup services).

do you have your BIOS set for "Wake Up on Ring" eg if the phone rings, the
computer may be set to recognise this and wake up, if you had fax software
or something, perhpas it's attempting to answer to receive a fax?
