Pbm with files

Hi,

If I right click on any TXT or officeXP files, pc freezes, but if I disable
network & check everything works fine. I am using windowsXP & office XP.I
tried reinstallation of office, reinstallation of n/w card & replacing n/w
card but the problem persists.

Kindly help me with this regard.

Are you part of a network or is this a home pc?

Where are the files located, localy or on a shared drive?
