P
Pb Internet Explorer Windows Xp Home
Hi all,
Have a laptop with Windows Hp Home (French version with
SP1) that has the following problem (possibly as a result
of a virus attack) :
When I click on Internet Explorer, either a window opens
with the message "Unable to open the Page sought" or the
page "Unable to display the page" and telling me to check
my network parameters.
In fact, the network card is installed correctly since I
can share folders and files on the LAN and can even ping a
DNS server on the WAN.
I applied the SP for IE6 with same result.
I desactivated the networdk card and reinstalled it with
same result.
Tried using repair_ie.exe but I get a message that
indicates that I should reinstall IE. However, when I try
to reinstall the latest IE + SP1 (downloaded from MSDN) I
get the message that the version IE installed is more
recent and the installation cannot continue.
Any ideas ?
