pausing Windows XP "Downloading Updates" process: wuauclt.exe

How can I pause the downloading of WinXP updates? I have dial-up and I
needed to download something but with the XP updates, the connection was
very slow. I know that in Win2000 I could pause and restart it when I could.
Can I do this here?
I've tried ending the process (wuauclt.exe) but it activates itself again. I
tried to block it through the firewall (I have Zonealarm Pro) but I
couldn't.

Hi,

Have you turned off the automatic update? If it off it should stop trying
to update. Plus what is it trying to download? SP2? if so, just go to one
of the computer stores and pick up the free CD.
