Pause Action Button

Hi again,

I have now successfully put a presentation onto CD with your help, thank
you! I best fill you in on background of my new problem first:

I couldn't make the powerpoint package for CD/Copy to CD to work, so I
copied it to a folder (as you suggested) and then used other softwhere to
burn it onto a CD. But this way seemed to take away the automatic action
buttons on powerpoint, and so I inserted them using the master slide method.
However, there doesn't seem to be a pause button, there's everything but, and
this is very important, so please can you help?

Thanks very much.

Kind Regards,

Jenny

Whatever you put in your PowerPoint program which I assume ran perfectly
before you packaged for CD should have not changed when you copied all the
files from the folder to the CD. Not knowing how your inserted or what
actions your buttons provide is hard to diagnose without a little moor
information.

Is the packaged slide show running in the Viewer? Does the Viewer support
those grayed out buttons on the bottom of the slide (that include the pause
button)?

I'm assuming that he put his own buttons on the Master Slide if I read the
original post correctly

As I recall, the orignial post referred to buttons that I interpreted as
the normal navigation buttons that automatically showed up. Since these
didn't work in the packaged presentation, the OP added some buttons to
get around this.

If he added buttons to the master, they should appear when using the viewer
after packaging to folder and burning to CD

I did add buttons to the master slide because the normal navigation buttons
don't show up on the packaged presentation. The action buttons include end,
forward and rewind but it did not have the option to pause. When I view the
slide show on my main presentation, then the normal navigation buttons show
up on bottom right and that does give option to pause, but once packaged for
CD and saved to folder and I run the CD, the normal navigation buttons are
gone. Therefore I added the action buttons myself. Hope this clarifies the
situation. Many thanks for your advice. Really appreciate it. Jenny

When using the viewer you can press S or + to Stop/Restart (Pause) an
automatic show.

N, left click, space, right or down arrow, enter or page down to Advance to
next slide.

P, backspace left or up arrow, page up to go to Previous slide

F1 for the full help in viewer mode. Hope this helps.
