Power Point 2000. All of a sudden when I try to open a Power Point
presentation I get an error screen that pops up stating "Path or file name
invalid...." This has never happened before...Any ideas..Thanks..Randy

Hi,

If it happens to only one presentation, it may be corrupt:

If it is happening to a bunch of them, have you recently upgraded Windows XP
to SP1?

And this one is in regard to saving:

Please, tell us your:

How are you opening the presentation? Are you double clicking the file name in
Windows Explorer or My Computer or on the Desktop? Or are you opening
PowerPoint and then using File > Open to locate the file and select it? Does it
say which file is missing or invalid?

Every file I try to open presents the error "Invalid Path or file name" and
it includes the path to the file: C:\Documents and Settings\Randy\My
Documents\Power Point\Work.ppt It does not matter if I double click on the
file or if I open Power Point and open the file...

Have you tried rebooting your system? That might clear out something in Windows
that is causing the problem.
