Hello...

I've heard it's possible to patch clients during logon. We
have Win2k servers, and Win98 and Win2k clients. Can anyone
point me somewhere I can learn more about this?

Any suggestions?

Thx,
D.

You can use 3rd party software or probably SMS is the best route to patch
PC's.

Regards
Paul.

Thanks. I was led to believe there was a native ability in
Win2k-Server for this, but guess not.

SMS looks good, but expensive. Anyone know of any
inexpensive but **reliable** 3rd party software?

Thanks again,
D.

Thanks...That's probably a good start. It has some
limitations, but it's free and better than nothing. I've
also been informed of HFNetChk Pro at www.shavlik.com.
Waiting for a call back for more info - I'm sure they're
pretty busy today ;)

Thx,
D.

You can use group policy or SUS for this but only for your 2K clients. The
9X clients will need to be patched from logon script or with third party
software.
