Patches/updates needed after SP2 install

I am just about to re-install xp Pro SP2 (Retail) and I need to know are
there any patches/updates I MUST download before I go online again and get
up-to-date with windows updates, you know format, install XP Pro SP2, then
go online to get normal windows updates but are there any MUST HAVE patches
before I go online again, I hope I've made myself clear.

Make sure firewall is on.
Connect to Internet.
Get rest of patches.
Install rest of software.
Continue with whatever it is you want to do with computer.

After you reinstall you will have plenty of patches & updates to install. If
you have high speed/Broadband it shouldn't take long.
