Pasting Linked Objects

When I try and paste large Excel tables as a linked object Powerpoint only
displays part of the table. My only solution is to paste as a Device
Independent Bitmap. One of my coworkers is able to paste the table as a
linked file. Is there a setting I can change to accomplish the same result?
