Pasting images frustration

I have a Word document that I've pasted 10 jpg images into it. There's no
text or anything else in the document. Each jpg is on a separate page.

Word's help suggests the images are embedded into the document but ...

If I copy the resulting doc file to another pc and re-open it in that pc's
copy of Word, the images are "empty", e.g. nothing but white background. The
actual image's size seems to be known as I can "see" the border of the image
when I click on where the image is supposed to be and also can double click
and get into the image editor etc.

I remember this frustration last time I tried to do this when I tried to
print the doc file, the images weren't printed. I seem to remember you had
to do "something" to get Word to "act right" in this regard.

Hopefully someone can enlighten me again as I'm trying to help my kid send
off her last assignment and it was due about 4 hrs ago already.

In Word on the PC where you can't see the jpgs, click on Tools | Options
| View | uncheck "Picture Placeholders".

Thanks, that seems to have done the trick this end. Hopefully, the teacher
won't have the same problem (I added you advice just in case).
