Pasting Excel range in Word

I am having trouble with keeping my formating consistent when I paste and
Excel range in Word (2007). I am selecting an Excel range that contains a
chart. When I paste it into Word the borders and gridlines change width,
getting larger. Does anybody have a remedy? Any help is greatly, greatly
appreciated.

While I don't use Word 7, try using Paste Special from the Edit menu in
Word, then select Excel Worksheet or some similar wording.

let me know if this works for you.

Well, what I'm trying to do is paste it as an enhanced metafile. Previous advice on this message board was to copy the range from Excel as a picture ("copy as Picture") and paste as a metafile. This fixed most of my problems with the obvious exception of the gridlines and boarders.
