paste text into cell that already has text in it

I would like to cut and paste text from cells into a cell that has been
formatted "wrap text". The past command does not appear to work. Please
advise.
 
Use Edit/Paste Special and select Formula. This will copy the contents of
the cell without changing the format settings of the target cell.
 
Not too clear to me what you want to do.

Can you show us an example of what you have in a cell and what you want the
outcome to look like.
