Some times I cannot paste the url in the Address bar of the IE 6 browser
(I mean Rightclicking and paste) and sometimes it is ok. Why it happens
I do not know. At that time Netscape 7.1 comes to my rescue.
Any siluation please? I haveWinxp Home, RAM 256.

Try using CTRL V to paste into the address bar once you have placed the
cursor in the bar. This will paste in the URL you have copied.

Hope this helps.

In fact this (Ctrl+V) is the more often method I use to paste. But
neither this or Edit paste works.

Usually when this happens to me I assume that it is not the paste
that failed but the Copy, in which case instead of using Ctrl-c to copy
I use Menu-c (e.g.)

Do you check each time that your assumption is correct?
E.g. have you proved by pasting whatever it is that you are pasting
into a WordPad window that the Clipboard really has what you think
it has? Are you simply pasting into your Netscape or recopying too?

If you can't paste anywhere else it is clearly not a problem with IE
but at most with the Clipboard. If you would like to investigate that
angle what I would do is open the Clipboard Viewer and save a .clp
file of whatever the current contents happened to be. Then drag
that file to a Notepad window and browse it. You may find that there
is some slight discrepancy in what is saved that makes it unusable
to IE but which Netscape apparently can ignore.

I'm having the same problem. It started with the last update of IE (6.0.2600.666.xpclnt_qfe.021108-2107). The "copy" is good and can be pasted in any other app. Any thoughts?
