Paste and cut to a worksheet with column validations

I've created a worksheet with column validations. When I
paste an cut date to the worksheet my validation
limitations are removed or ignored by the worksheet. I
want to have paste and cut ablity and have columns
governed by the limitations I've indicated. Does anyone
know how to do this on a windows 2000 system?

Please help

this is (unfortunately) not supported by data validation directly.
You'll have to use VBA for this (e.g. use a event procedure to validate
the entries manually after pasting)
