passwords forgotten (I guess)

I belong to several forums and when I log into them and
then move to the page the pc forgets that I have logged in
and says that I am a guest. I use my SBC browser but it
does the same thing on IE6. I am completely baffeled. Does
anyone have any idea how I can fix this? It worked fine up
until two days and when I downloaded the update. I tried a
system restore and went back before the update but it
still doesn't work..Please help me.

You probably need to permit cookies, at least for those forums where you
wish to remain logged in.

Without a cookie, the web site doesn't know you've logged in and will ask
you to do it all the time. The cookie tells the web site "It's cool - we
know this dude."
