I just set up my Windows xp password. Entered it in twice
and reset my laptop. When I went back to log in, it said
my password wasnt correct. I know what I typed in, but I
dont know what is going on. Thanks for any help.

This may be a stupid question, but since I doubt that only your version of
xp has a bug in its password saving logic, did you make sure that the caps
lock was off when you typed in your password for the first time? Try typin
your password in with the caps lock on and see what happens.

Best of luck,

How about NumLock?? If it happened to be on??

That would cause problems if any of the keys that are in your password serve
as numbers on a numeric keypad
