Password

This is a stand-alone pc. During start up Windows says the password has
expired and won't let me logon to the pc.

You will need to logon as the Administrator. Then you can go to the Control
Panel, choose Users and Passwords, and modify the username in question. Set
the password to never expire.

Thanks Dan,

I had figured that is all it was so I stopped by the customers and changed
it. I set this computer up about 4 months ago. I am wondering why it would
suddenly do this? I wonder if someone is playing around. This machine is in
the transportation office of the local school district. Lots of traffic in
there. They don't want a password because it is inconvenient. I have stressed
to them the value of a password to no avail. Are you aware of an issue in
2000 Pro that causes this? If not, I am left thinking someone is getting on
this machine who doesn't belong there.
