PASSWORD

I can't get to the desktop, message box says "password
expired needs to be changed", then new box appears with
space for old password & new password. I got this
computer from someone else & it has been unplugged for
several weeks, she says she never had a password on it to
log on. What can I do to get the Windows XP Professional
running?
