Password Verification

HR will be sending out hundreds of performance appraisals requiring a
password to unprotect the file, and the same password to reapply the
protection before sending the file back. Obviously mistakes will be made,
passwords will be toast, and files will go unopened forever. Is there a way
using VB to create an input box for the password and verify it against the
predetermined password so the user has to enter it correctly? Version 2002.
Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Depends on what kind of file protection we're talking about.

In any case, for a VBA solution you should ask in one of the word.vba
newsgroups. Better chance of getting a good discussion going there, then here
(an end-user newsgroup)
