Password retrieval possible?

Using FrontPage, I password-protected my personal website
in Nov. 2003.

Canaca.com hosts my personal website. Recently, Canaca
changed the IP address of my website. Now, I'm unable to
access my site via the Internet or via FrontPage with my
password.

Is it possible to change my FrontPage password w/o
actually accessing my site? At this point, I'm thinking
it's hopeless to access my site at all.

I've contacted Canaca, and they've said it's my duty to
change the password via FrontPage.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

She's already done that, Tom, and they weren't any help:

"I've contacted Canaca, and they've said it's my duty to change the
password via FrontPage."

You'll probably need to contact Canaca.

It's not her "duty" if they have moved the server (usually the reason for an IP change)
- as a host they should be able to provide her the "master" password or reset the password

If your host won't provide a simple service such as fixing
your password, then it's time to change hosts.

If I remember correctly, Canaca said something like an old
block of its IP addresses expired, that's why I was
assigned a new one.

I have the master password from Canaca, but it's
independent of the FrontPage password I setup back in
2003. Meaning, I can access my admin page, etc., with the
Canaca master password; but, I still can't access my
website via the Internet or via FrontPage w/o the password
I setup in FP.

Just have them reset all the passwords to the master and try that
- if they have the server and FP SE set up correctly the "master password" they used to install the FP SE should always work

The password and user name to open your live web in FrontPage should be the same password and user
name that you use to log on to your web masters control panel.
