password protection

I have set four mail accounts on my OE and I have set it to remember my
password so that I can send and recieve mails directly.Can I give password
protection for my OE when ever I open it? I don't want to type password all
the four times .My friends also using this pc, they shuld not be able to
read my mails

You cannot set a password to open Outlook Express.
What you need to do is set up your own Windows XP
User Account and provide a user name and a strong password.

yes it is possible but by not so obvious trick.

create a new user account with administrative credentials and a strong
password
locate msimn.exe at c:\program files\outlook express\
right click on it and then security and then advanced remove
inheritance->ok->remove all users except ur new user account .
in the group policy you can deny the log on right so that no user can use
this account

now enable secondary logon service and use ur normal user account right
click on the outlook express and click runas and provide the credentials of
ur new user account.

i tried this and it works
