Password protection of files

Is there a way to password protect Excel files so that they cannot even be
viewed. The standard password protection only seems to protect the file from
being changed. I would like sensitive worksheets i.e. payroll files, from
being viewed at all.

Any help appreciated.

Polyprod, you can set a password to open the file, to change the file you
have, file, save as, select tools, general options, save options, enter
password to open confirm password and OK out.

Many thanks for your response.
I haven't used Excel in ages and had forgotten how to do it.

Much appreciated Paul
