Password protecting

When an excel worksheet is password protected and saved,
I get a little notepad icon on my desktop called UBSTALK.
I have tried deleting it completely, but every time I
save the worksheet, I get the icon on my desktop. Has
anyone ever experienced this or have any suggestions?

If you start excel in safe mode
windows start button
run
excel /safe

Then File|Open your workbook, does it still happen?

If not, then I'm guessing you have a helpful macro hanging around. If you
didn't develop the workbook, try going back to the person who did and ask what's
going on.

If you want to look more, you can hit alt-F11 to get to the VBE. Then look
under the ThisWorkbook module in your project.

Debra Dalgleish has some pictures describing this (used for a different purpose,
though).

It may help you become familiar with the VBE (were macros live).

By the way, I googled for UBSTalk and got one hit (from Japan). But it kind of
looks like a typo for USBTalk.
