Password protected

Hello-

I am using windowns XP and I shut down my computer and
upon starting up, it brought up the blue screen where it
asks me to log on to my account. The problem is that I
don't know the password and therefore, I am not able to
log into my account. How do I get around this?

How do you not know your own password? Did you forget it, or you never new
it? Anyway, log into the hidden admin account and reset your password.
xp pro = ctrl, alt, del twice at welcome screen
xp home = boot to safe mode
